Another Lifetime Wage Award For Correctional Lieutenant

A Correctional Lieutenant recently won a lifetime wage differential award totaling approximately $45,000 per year, tax-free, for life. Meanwhile, the worker will continue to earn credits toward retirement. Once he retires, the worker will still receive the wage differential payments. Because the workplace accident occurred before September 2011, the award lasts throughout the worker’s lifetime. Matthew Chapman arbitrated the case in August 2015. The State of Illinois did not appeal and the worker is already receiving payments. The lawyers at Becker, Schroader & Chapman, P.C. are experts at obtaining maximum benefits for correctional officers, including when an injury takes away the ability to return to corrections.
