Matt has been with Becker, Schroader & Chapman, P.C. since 2001. He has won jury trials in Illinois and Missouri and handles all types of injury claims including Industrial and Construction Accidents, Medical Malpractice, Deckhand and Maritime Injuries, Products and Premises Liability, and Vehicle Accidents. Matt also represents injured workers in worker’s compensation cases throughout Illinois. Matt is the lead trial attorney for the emergency response team for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Union - a role that has taken him to courtrooms for catastrophic injury and fatality litigation in multiple jurisdictions, including Connecticut, Indiana, Minnesota (twice), West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Matt served as an Edwardsville Township Trustee for eight years from 2017 to 2025. Before law school, Matt served six years as a munitions systems specialist in the Illinois Air National Guard, 183rd Tactitical Fighter Group, based in Springfield, Illinois. Matt currently resides in Glen Carbon, Illinois with his wife, Kim.
